Optical interferometer with non-reflecting multiport coupler

The interferometer includes a symmetrical six-port coupler (MK) with a non-reflecting entry port (2) and a similar exit port (2') connected to absorbers (A). For a given optical wavelength (lambda c) at another entry port (1), the incoming optical power deviates from the sum of the outputs from two other exit ports (1', 3') into a connecting ring (VR). In mfr. of the coupler the angle of compensation for nonlinear phase rotation can be set by choice of the number of ports, the coupling ratios and other parameters affecting power transfer properties.
