Each of the spherical facing elements (28) of the machine is supported on an axle (35) running through the centre (33) of the element, and which by its axle stubs (37) protrudes out of the facing element. Both axle stubs are movable horizontally to the upper face (41) of the table in guide spaces (39) formed in the work support table (11). Each guide space has an axle stop (43) which limits the projection of the facing element out of the upper face of the table. Each facing element is axially immovable on the axle.
