The joint includes a sealing strip having a U-section portion (1) which acts as a gripper and fixed over a projecting edge (3) on the door frame, and a tubular portion (2) made from an elastic and deformable material, attached to the gripper. The tubular portion of the strip has a lip (8) which projects sideways and into the U-section portion, and is made in one piece with a second tubular portion (9) from a compact and elastic material with a Shore A hardness of about 60-75, and having a dimension sufficient to be pinched between the gripper (1) and the projection (3) when the strip is fitted into place. The lip and second tubular portion can be made from a compact rubber, and the main tubular portion (2) can be made from a compact rubber of a lower Shore A hardness or from a cellular rubber. |
