The composite pigment is prepared by (A) polymerizing ultra-fine titanium dioxide into 0.5-15 micron powder, (B) dispersing the powder and cationic ferrite in distilled water and mixing at 70 deg.C and pH 9.0-11.0, (C) adding anionic surfactant and sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide or lithium hydroxide, agitating for 1 hr, and filtering after centrifugal separation, (D) sintering the product at 400-1000 deg.C to produce powdery composite material coated with UV-absorber and ferrite, (E) dissolving aluminium sulfate in the water-dispersed pigment and (F) centrifugal-separating, water-washing and drying the product at 50-90 deg.C successively after forming aluminium salt on the surface by adding monovalent metal salt as UV-absorber.
