driving a spindle motor to rotate a video disc, reading video signals recored on a first side of the vidro disc by moving a first pick-up element from an inner circumference to an outer circumference of the first side of the video disc; and reading video signals recored on a second side of the video disc by moving a second pick-up element from an outer cicumference to an inner circumference of the second side of the video disc. The video signals from the two sides of the video disc are stored and the video signals from the first side of the video disc are output in an order in which the video signals from the first side were stored. The video signals from the second side of the video disc are output in an opposite order from an order in which the video signals from the second side were stored. The signals on video disc are successively reproduced without discontinuity due to unidirectional rotation of disc and no movement of pick-up.
