PURPOSE:To easily select a display language in an on-screen display function from several languages in simple construction. CONSTITUTION:This display controller displays character information with a specific language on a television screen, and provided with a storage means incorporating an EEPROM 13 and a ROM 14, a language selection key 22 and a display control part 12. The storage mans stores the character information having the same contents in several languages. The language selection key 22 selects the language to display on the television screen. The display control part 12 reads the character information in the language selected by the language selection key 22 and displays the information in it on the television screen. |
