PURPOSE:To enhance the inspection precision, solving defects such as low detecting sensitivity, by photographing the image of transmitted light of bottle bottom radiated by a strobe with a television camera, and processing the output signal in a binary circuit. CONSTITUTION:When an empty bottle 1 is sent forth between a strobe 5 and a television camera 6 and reaches the specified position, it is detected by a detector 9. By the detection signal from the detector 9, a strobe light emission timing circuit 10 is operated, and the strobe 5 emits light. Due to the light emission by the strobe 5, the bottom of the bottle 1 is radiated through a diffusion film 11, and the bottom image of the bottle 1 is photoelectrically converted by the television camera 6 and is inputted into a binary circuit 7. Due to the binary signal from the binary circuit 7, a judging circuit 8 functions, and the inspection result of the bottle 1 is outputted, so that a soiling of more than about 1 mm square may be detected. Hence, a bottle bottom inspecting machine having high inspecting capacity may be realized. |
