Apparatus for heating premises, comprising a paraffin reservoir (1) connected to a wick or a combustion zone, a member (18) for setting the apparatus in operation and a mechanism intended to stop combustion, this apparatus comprising moreover a safety device which ensures automatic extinction of the combustion by actuating said mechanism. The safety device comprises a means (22) for measuring the temperature of the premises to be heated, said means actuating, as soon as it detects a temperature greater than a predetermined temperature of between 19 and 36 DEG C, a first element (52) which acts on a piece (32) of said mechanism so as to stop the combustion and advantageously a second element which acts on said member (18) so as to bring it into a position corresponding to non-operation of the apparatus. <IMAGE> |
