CT SCANNER DEVICE, ITS APPLICATION METHOD AND CT SCAN METHOD

PURPOSE: To offer an CT scanner capable of utilizing its reconstructed data and the resolution of image produced as the result to the highest. CONSTITUTION: This CT scanner 10 is provided with an X-ray source 12 from which plural X-ray fans are sent through a examination region to plural rings of radiation detectors. The gap between fan beams is adjusted by an adjustable septum of a collimeter 18. The X-ray source 12 rotates around the examination region during the time when a subject stand 30 passes through the examination region in the longitudinal direction, and by this, the X-ray fan moves along interleaved spiral trajectories. The radiation damping data from each X-ray fan is reconstructed to plural images along a parallel slices orthogonal to the longitudinal axis after the reconstruction. The interval between X-ray beams is adjusted in relation with the effective pitch of the spiral. By this, the leading edges of the X-ray fan intersect a common traverse plane at 180 deg./N angular intervals around the longitudinal axis.
