PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester film for lamination with a metallic sheet excellent in lamination moldability and in impact resistance and retentivity of the flavor of contents after lamination and desirable for use in particularly can making by using a specified copolyester. CONSTITUTION:This film is a biaxially oriented polyester film made of a copolyester containing a lubricant having a mean particle diameter of 2.5mum or below. This copolyester is one made from a dicarboxylic acid component comprising 80-95mol% terephthalic acid and 5-20mol% isophthalic acid and a glycol component comprising ethylene glycol and 0.5-10wt.%, based on the total weight of the dicarboxylic acid component, polyoxy-alkylene glycol of an average molecular weight of 200-6000 and having an intrinsic viscosity [eta]of 0.5-0.7, a melting point of 210-245 deg.C and a second-order transition point of 65 deg.C or below. |
