PURPOSE:To enhance paper strength under severe conditions by adding hemp pulp to a paper support in a predetermined amt. with respect to the total pulp solid of the paper support. CONSTITUTION:Hemp pulp is added to a paper support constituting a recording material in an amt. of 20wt.% or more, if possible, 40-wt.% or more with respect to the total pulp solid of the support. In the case of 20wt.% or less, desired breaking length and specific tear strength are not obtained. As the hemp. pulp, pulp produced from hemp or flax is used. Since smoothness is lowered when hemp. pulp is used, it is pref. to prevent the lowering of smoothness by providing a recording layer to the single gloss surface of single gloss paper dried at the time of papermaking by a Yankee dryer. The breaking length of the support in the longitudinal direction thereof is set to 10km or less and the specific tear strength of the support in the lateral direction thereof is set to 200gfX10<2>/g/m<2> or more. |
