PURPOSE: To obtain a palladium alloy catalyst for thermal decomposition de- nitrogen for removing nitrogen oxides and to provide a method of its manufacture. CONSTITUTION: The palladium alloy catalyst is formed into a thermally decomposition de-nitrogen palladium alloy catalyst by impregnating an alloy salt solution comprising palladium and a noble metal of a proper ratio of silver, copper, gold, and the like, to a high temperature durable support comprising aluminum oxide or magnesium aluminate MgAl2 O3 , or the like. In order to impart a special effect to the catalyst, in the manufacturing process, potassium, a lanthanide metal such as cerium or neodymium, or a titan family metal such as zirconium or hafnium can be added as an enhancer. |
