INK FOR INK JET DYEING

PURPOSE:To obtain an ink for ink jet printing which does not clog, allows minute droplets to be jetted stably, and gives a defect-free, uniform, distinct image by compounding a water-insol. or hardly water-sol. disperse dye, a specific dispersant, and other necessary additives. CONSTITUTION:This ink contains a water-insol. or hardly water-sol. disperse dye and a dispersant of formula I [wherein X is -A- or -O-A-O-(wherein A is a group of formula II); M is H,-SO3H,-SO3NH4, or -SO3Na; and n is 5-20] and is prepd. e.g. by adjusting the particle sizes of the dye and the dispersant to about 100-200mum with a predispersing machine, adjusting the particle sizes to specified values with a dispersing machine, and adding water to adjust the concn. together with other necessary additives.
