PURPOSE: To reduce the materials and costs of an occupant restraint system for an automobile of the type having seats arranged in back-to-back relationship by attaching each of the guide rings of seat belts for front and rear seats to the pillar of the vehicle by means of one bolt. CONSTITUTION: The backrests 30, 32 of a front seat 22 and a rear seat 24 arranged in back-to-back relationship are disposed in registration with the vehicle body pillar 20 of a vehicle and the guide rings of the seat belts 34, 36 of the seats are pivotally attached to the pillar 20 of the vehicle by means of one bolt, whereby the materials and costs required for reinforcement of mounting portions can be reduced and unsightly view of the belts hanging from windows is avoided. |
