PURPOSE:To provide a system and a method for recovering useful material from garbage by separating garbage disposed heretofore from other domestic waste, collecting and treating the separated garbage in a large-scale methane fermentation facility. CONSTITUTION:A system and a method are provided in which garbage is separated from other domestic waste and fermented and both a product and heat energy generated by fermentation are utilized. Further a plurality of separation bags are separated into a separation bag and other bag for domestic waste. A character, a color and a pattern different from the bag for domestic waste are indicated on the surface of the separation bag. The separation bag for recovery is used into which garbage is put and fermented.
