PURPOSE:To realize space saving at the transfer work of articles by using two linear movement and link mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:First and second linear movement arms 2a, 2b are provided so as to be transferred linearly with a mutually parallel position relation kept, and each one end portion of these linear movement arms 2a, 2b is connected to an article transfer portion 4 each through first and second links 3a, 3b. A straight advance drive mechanism 5A is provided to transfer linearly the article transfer portion 4 along a direction that meets at right angles with the transfer direction of the linear movement arms by the linear transfer of the first and second linear movement arms, and the first and second linear movement arms 2a, 2b are linearly transferred synchronously and in directions opposite to each other. On that occasion, a posture retaining means is provided between the first or second linear movement arm 2a, or 2b and the article transfer portion 4 so that the posture of the article transfer portion 4 may not unstable during transfer. |
