PURPOSE:To produce a lubricating oil composition being noncorrosive and improved in the ability to reduce wear by adding a specified compound to a synthetic ester oil or a lube base oil containing it. CONSTITUTION:A lube base oil comprising a synthetic ester oil such as a dibasic acid ester or a polyol ester or a mixture of at least 40wt.% this oil with a synthetic ester oil source such as mineral oil, alkylbenzene, alpha-olefin oligomer or polyalkylene glycol and having a viscosity ISO VG of 10-220 is mixed with 0.02-5wt.% phosphoric or thiophosphoric triester having 1-3 unsaturated substituents (A) and represented by the formula (wherein R1 is a substituent having at least one unsaturation; Y is O or S; n is 1-3; and R2 is an unsaturation-free substituent) and optionally an antioxidant, a rust preventive, etc., alone or in combination. Examples of the substituent A include alkenyl, alkenylaromatic, and a substituents having a group derived from a diol/ unsaturated carboxylic acid monoester. |
