PURPOSE:To conduct denitrification and dephosphorization of drainage at high yields without remodeling an existing purification apparatus. CONSTITUTION:An impeller 4 is installed on the water surface in the denitrification vessel 1 of an apparatus main body A, and the impeller 4 is rotated by treated water discharged from a purification apparatus B. A lot of magnet grains 5 are fixed on the surface of the impeller 4; denitrification bacteria activated by the magnetic force of the magnet grains are exposed alternately to the hydrosphere and the atmosphere so that the colonies of the bacteria grow in a favorable environment to obtain efficient denitrification function. The iron components in water to be treated which is sent from a denitrification vessel 2 to a dephosphorization vessel 3 are attracted by the magnet grains fixed on the surface of a cylindrical filter medium 7 set in the dephosphorization vessel 3; phosphorus, which is apt to adhere to the iron components, is positively removed by being attracted by the magnet grains with the iron components. |
