The device comprises a line regulator valve(103), a converter regulator valve(108), and compressors(110) of which the pilot pressures and reaction pressures are regulated by a torque compensation relay valve(110). The pilot pressure of the torque compensation relay valve(110) is regulated by a torque compensation solenoid valve(125) so as to decrease a loss due to an excessive oil pressure rise and a shock at the time of gear change. The solenoid valve is controlled in accordance with an opening degree of a throttle of an engine and an output speed of the speed change gear.
