PURPOSE:To decrease the water content of syrupy mugwort extract without deteriorating the active component. CONSTITUTION:Leaves and tip parts of stalks of mugwort are washed with water and crushed without drying the leaves, etc. The powder is filtered and the obtained liquid extract is heated below the boiling point to effect the evaporation of water and obtain a syrupy extract. The syrupy extract is incorporated with dried fine pieces of mugwort and/or Sasa albo-marginata and the mixture is kneaded and solidified by drying. Since both mugwort and Sasa albo- marginata contain a component capable of eliminating the mouth odor and body odor such as sweat odor, the drying treating time can remarkably be shortened and the deterioration of the active component can be minimized by adding the dried pieces of mugwort, etc. |
