PURPOSE:To obtain a rice ball forming machine capable of uniformly loosening cooked rice and forming rice balls having uniform weight in high efficiency by placing a balance on a base immediately below a rice ball forming table and controlling the weight of the rice ball to a prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:This rice ball forming machine is provided with an intermittently rotating rice ball forming table 4 detachably pivoted on a base 3 fixed on a base frame 2, a cooked rice supplying apparatus for supplying cooked rice to each rice ball forming hole bored on the circumference of the rice ball forming table 4 at regular intervals and a delivery apparatus 6 for delivering the rice ball formed in the rice ball forming hole 5 of the rice ball forming table 4. These units are connected to a controller 7. A balance 35 is placed on the base 3 immediately below the rice ball forming table 4 at the position to receive the cooked rice supplied by the rice supplying apparatus. The weight of the cooked rice to be supplied to the rice ball forming hole 5 positioned below the rice supplying apparatus is constantly measured to control the weight of the rice ball to a prescribed weight. |
