The installation includes a cylinder lock barrel (4) which rotates a plate (5), behind the door (2), which drives, through a pivoted (6.1,6.2) link (6), a centrally pivoted arm (7). In the "open" position, the end of the arm rises to give access through a door aperture (3) to the operating handle. Simultaneously, a cam on the arm depresses a roller (14.1) on a microswitch (14) operating lever. This switch may be used, if desired, to interrupt the equipment power supply, for dead operation. The actuating plate (5) is also linked to the core of a Bowden cable (8), whose sheath is terminated (9) nearby and at a spring-loaded latch-bolt securing the door. Thus, a single unlocking action uncovers the handle access and releases the door latch.
