MULTIPLEX ACCESS METHOD

PURPOSE: To provide a multiple system for a personal radio communication system with high capacity and quality, and small delay. CONSTITUTION: This is a multiple access system whose delay is small called shared time-division duplex(STDD), and up-link and down-link voice traffic is assigned to a common channel. This system includes separated up-link and down-link control channels and a common voice information channel. The control channel is provided with a means for signaling a voice request and confirming time slot assignment. A packet can be generated for transmission at the time of voice talk only by using a voice activity detection. The STDD uses equivalent bidirectional communications for dynamically assigning a time slot in a common information channel and efficiently realizing a high statistical multiple gain and a common information channel.
