PURPOSE: To improve the photographic properties of a magnetic recording layer in a photographic element having it. CONSTITUTION: In a photographic element which a support body carrying at least one silver halide photosensitive layer and a transparent magnetic recording layer are contained to form, the transparent magnetic recording layer has ferromagnetic particles in a high molecular weight binder, and the ferromagnetic particles are >=30m<2> /g size and are present in the coated quantity of 1×10<-11> mg/μm<3> -1×10<-10> mg/μm<3> in the transparent magnetic recording layer, and the high molecular weight binder contains a dispersant/cobinder containing poly- (C2-4 - alkylene imine) having at least two mono- or poly-(carbonyl-C1-7 -alkylene oxy) groups by 25wt.% of the weight of the high molecular weight binder at the maximum.
