PURPOSE:To provide a positive authenticating system for personal identification system used in a required place for confirming an individual by recording the external data of a card user himself in a magnetic card 'and providing an optical input part for inputting the external data directly from the card user and a card input part for inputting the external data of the magnetic card in a discrimination device. CONSTITUTION:At the time of identifying an individual, the prescribed magnetic card 1 is inputted to the card input part 22 of the discrimination device 2 and the features of the individual such as facial features and palm prints, etc., are grasped by the optical input part 21 such as a CCD camera and an image scanner, etc. Thus, by the coincidence of the individual data of the card 1 and the input data of the optical input part 21, it is confirmed that the user of the magnetic card 1 is the correct individual himself. Even when another person uses the magnetic card 1, since card data and optical input data do not coincide, the use of the magnetic card 1 by a person other than the individual is judged. Thus, the use of the magnetic card 1 by a third person is excluded and a positive authenication of personal identification realized. |
