PURPOSE:To quickly and accurately change a region while observing a selected region displayed on the picture of a finder and to improve operability by providing a region selecting member so as to make its operation surface nearly parallel with the picture of the finder. CONSTITUTION:On the rear cover 2 of a camera body 1, a slidable region selecting button 3 is provided in a position capable of operating by a thumb at the time of holding the camera body 1 and on its top surface, a photometric mode setting button 4, an information setting dial 8, an external display unit 9, etc., are provided as well. The information setting dial 8 is connected to a pulse generator, a pulse is generated in accordance with a rotational operation to input various kinds of information of the camera. The pulse generator genaerates a unit-pulse per unit-rotation of the information setting dial 8 prescribed by a click stop. When the dial 8 is rotated while depressing the plaotometric mode selecting button 4, an arbitrary mode can be selected out of plural photometric modes including a partial photometric mode. |
