<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a radial lead electronic part which is low in resin cost and small in mounting height art a printed board by a method wherein thermosetting resin powder is applied onto the lead terminals of the radial lead electronic part as the lead terminals are heated by an induction current. CONSTITUTION:A varistor device which is mainly formed of zinc oxide and provided With silver electrodes on both its sides is dip-coated with thermosetting epoxy resin powder in a fluid dipping tank as the varistor device is heated by making an induction current flow through lead wires 2. The above process is repeated once again, and then a resin curing process is carried out in a hot air circulation-type curing oven. By this setup, a thermosetting resin powder coating deposited on the lead wires can be selectively increased in thickness, and a radial lead electronic part which is low in cost and small in mounting height on a printed board can be obtained.</p> |
