PURPOSE:To provide an information display device which has a high reliability and securely displays the contents of the original information even though faults occur in any of the display units. CONSTITUTION:A display graphic pattern processing circuit 15 moves an original display graphic pattern with respect to the display data read from a display graphic pattern storage circuit 12 in accordance with the abnormality detection signal from an abnormality detecting circuit 16 based on the comparison monitor data with display data, reduces character intervals or character sizes, deletes graphics or performs conversion processes such as replacing the original graphic pattern with a display graphic pattern with a fewer number of characters and outputs display data employing a display unit 2 excluding the units having faults.
