The fixing collar is used for fixing a cylindrical object (9) to a fixed structure. A support (1) is fixed on the fixed structure and has at each end (5) a joint hole (2) and two jaws (10S,10I) are mounted pivotally by a first end (11S,11I) in the hole (2). The joint holes (2) are in the form of an oblong along a longitudinal axis leading towards the centre of the circle defined by the jaws (10S,10I), for permitting the first two ends (11s,11I) of the two jaws to be spaced in order to permit the insertion of a cylindrical object (9) between the jaws (10S,10I) without having to fully open the two jaws.
