PURPOSE:To provide a camera provided with a subject speed recording function which improves the function as a recording medium for a photograph by recording the speed of the movement of a subject in a frame of a film on which the subject in motion is photographed. CONSTITUTION:When a shutter release button 11 is slightly pressed for photography, a release 1st-stage switch (Sr1) 11a is turned ON and a range finding circuit 12 starts measuring the distance to the subject 21; and range finding data (Xm) at the start are stored and the timer of a timer circuit 14 is started. When the shutter release button 11 is further pressed and a release 2nd-stage switch (S2) 11b is turned ON, current range finding data (Ym) are stored, the timer stops, and the time (t) from the ON operation of S111a to the ON operation of S111b is measured. At proper time in the shutter release processing, the subject speed (v) is calculated from the difference (Xm-Ym) between the two range finding data and the time (t) and displayed on an LCD 20, and the subject speed (v) is recorded in the frame wherein the subject 21 is photographed. |
