PURPOSE: To obtain a circuit for the A/D conversion of a frequency-modulated intermediate frequency signal and the descending conversion of the signal to a base band without requiring high accuracy of individual components. CONSTITUTION: A sample-and-hold circuit 2 samples a supplied intermediate frequency signal at a proper sampling rate. Two HPF-sigma/delta converters 5, 6 are connected to the circuit 2 and sampling values fed from the circuit 2 are alternately supplied to the converters 5, 6. The converters 5, 6 are connected to mixers 7, 8 respectively and mixed signals having frequency of a half of the sampling rate are supplied to the mixers 7, 8.
