FAULT MONITORING SYSTEM FOR ATM EXCHANGE

PURPOSE:To provide the fault monitoring system for ATM exchange which can simplify a control procedure for fault monitor and can shorten overhead caused by a fault monitoring function in an entire control function. CONSTITUTION:Concerning the fault monitor at an ATM exchange, first of all, an.ATM cell for control to be transmitted from a fault monitoring module 1 to a monitoring object module is fetched into a cell copy module 4, only the destination information is converted while keeping control contents as they are and afterwards, the information is transmitted to the module of the relevant destination in the manner of broadcasting.
