PURPOSE:To provide the image display device which can display a background image changing in synchronism with the progress of music and the KARAOKE device which uses the image display device. CONSTITUTION:A RAM 5 stored with musical performance data, a sound source circuit 7 which generates a musical sound signal on the basis of musical performance data read out of the RAM 5, and a speaker 12 which converts the musical sound signal into a musical sound are provided. Further, display data consisting of image data, generated matching the progress of music based upon musical performance data, and time data are stored in the RAM 5. In synchronism with the start of a read of musical performance data, the image data are read out, and the time that the time data corresponding to the image data indicates and the image data are displayed in order. Consequently, the background image can be displayed in synchronism with the accompaniment sound. |
