<p>PURPOSE:To enhance image quality with respect to image density and fog, etc., to prevent toner scattering, to improve its fixability and to extend its life by incorporating a specified vinyl resin, a nonmetallic quaternary ammonium salt, a quaternary ammonium salt containing a metal, and a colorant. CONSTITUTION:This color toner contains the vinyl resin having a Mw/Mn ratio of >=20 in a tetrahydrofuran-soluble fraction, where Mw and Mn are a weight average molecular weight and a number average molecular weight, respectively: the nonmetallic quaternary ammonium salt, the metal-containing quaternary ammonium salt comprising an anion part having a metal complex structure, and the colorant. Since a styrene-acrylic resin has good toner characteristics, it is preferable for this vinyl resin. A molybdenum metal is especially preferable for the metal-containing quaternary ammonium salt from the viewpoints of chargeability characteristics and color tone.</p> |
