ELECTRIC CONNECTOR USING PIN CONTACT

PURPOSE: To provide an electric connector using pin contacts, of which header housing is attached to a multitude of pins extending oppositely from both sides of a board without causing any adverse influence on the electrical contact. CONSTITUTION: A circuit board is provided with a multitude of pins therethrough forming contact parts on both sides thereof. The board is mounted at its pins at least on either side with a subassembly including a housing 140. The subassembly has the housing 140 and a locking plate 142 arranged in the housing 140. The plate 142 has locking arms 154 and through holes 150. With the pins inserted in the holes 150, the housing 140 and the plate 142 are slid on each other to interferingly fit the pins into passages 166 through the housing 140.
