PURPOSE: To obtain an interactive video-on-demand circuit network for operating a complete interactive service including fast forwarding and rewinding. CONSTITUTION: This network includes a video server VS which generates plural delayed instances of a video signal to be transmitted to plural user stations US11-NM, and buffer means IB1-N which supply a video signal version in response to the requests of user stations US11-NM after one of those selected instants is supplied. Those buffer means IB1-N transmit a load request signal to the video server VS, and in response to it, the video server VS supplies at least one part of the video signal to the input for storing it in the buffer means at a substantially higher speed than an actual time.
