Syringe needle cover consists of a standard needle cap which is attached to the skin or clothing of the patient immediately adjacent to the site of an injection, perfusion or body fluid sampling procedure to receive the needle prior to and/or after use. The cap is attached to the patient by a temporary adhesive which enables it to be easily removed while providing sufficient resistance to allow the needle to be inserted into the cap. The adhesive should be one which is anti-allergenic; it can be, for example, in the form of double-sided sticky tape with a polymer supporting layer.
