A base block (1) of foam material has a cubic configuration, with a central hollow portion in the form of a cylindrical cut-out (3). A notch (2) is cut in one of the side faces of the cube, to communicate with the cylindrical cut-out and define a rest surface recessed below the top surface of the block. The depth of the cylindrical cut-out is twice that of the notch, and its diameter is twice the width of the notch. A strip (4) of self-fastening material such as hooked pile fastener is wrapped around the periphery of the block adjacent to the notch.
