摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a cooperative driving system for not less than two vehicles so as to ease traffic by cooperatively driving not less than two vehicles. CONSTITUTION: The system cooperatively driving without using mechanical connection is provided with not less than two vehicles 1, 1a, the same computers for each 8, 8a, sensors 4, 4a, transmitters 6, 6a and receivers 5 and 5a. A 'traction mode' for the driving of a following vehicle 1a by the driver of a leading vehicle 1 is provided. In the traction mode, the following vehicle 1a simulates every movement of the leading vehicle 1. The sensors 4, 4a, the transmitters 6, 6a and the receivers 5 and 5a always detect and exchange information on the actual driving operation of the leading driver, the traveling characteristic of each vehicle and the relative position of each vehicle, and the computers 8 and 8a control each vehicle so that the following vehicle 1a may perfectly simulate the movement of the lading vehicle 1. The driver of the following vehicle 1a does not drive during traction but restart driving after the traction mode.
