PURPOSE:To easily designate a diagnosis object device by displaying a list of connected devices in a system when diagnosis of the device in the system is started onto a display screen and identifying a desired diagnosis object device based on the display information. CONSTITUTION:When an equipment diagnosis processing section 5 is started by application of a diagnostic command or the like from a maintenance personnel, the processing section 5 accesses a connector 7 sequentially to which peripheral equipments 4-1 to 4-N are connected to confirm a reply of the peripheral equipment and to generate a list 8 of the peripheral equipments connecting to the system and to display the list 8 onto a screen of a display device 2. The maintenance personnel observes the list 8 of the peripheral equipments to be displayed and recognizes a desired diagnosis object equipment by using an identification name of the equipment and auxiliary information and selects the equipment by its line number or the like and designates it by using a key board 3. The access by the equipment diagnosis processing section 5 is implemented by allowing the maintenance personnel to confirm the designated peripheral equipments and then the accessed peripheral equipments are subject to operation display representing the access state. |
