PURPOSE:To provide a microcomputer which can prevent the destruction of data stored in a memory despite the consumption of a battery. CONSTITUTION:The gate width W of the fields 105 of MOS transisters 10a and 10b used to an oscillation inverter connected in parallel to the oscillator of an oscillation circuit are reduced or the gate length L of these fields 105 are increased. So that the conductances of both TRs are reduced and the oscillation inverter is set at the second threshold value higher than the first threshold value of a CPU.
