An appliance for coiling a fire hose is provided, comprising a plate 1 and three projecting bars 3, 4, 5. Two of the bars 3, 4 fitted on one side are fitted relatively close to one another and at a relatively short distance from the centre 14 of the plate. The third bar is seated on the other side and close to the circumference of the plate. A fire hose is attached with its coupling union 13 between the bars 3, 4, and the hose 12 can then be coiled manually by turning the appliance. <IMAGE>
