PURPOSE: To obtain a picture display system and a synchronizing system which are not affected by the influence of a spurious action due to excessive interference or cross-talk. CONSTITUTION: A modulating circuit 100 switches the conductive state of a synchronizing switch Q2 for controlling the conduction of currents in an inductance T1 in response to a switching signal Vd. A signal generator 200 connected with a source W1 of a retrace pulse Rt1 generates a horizontal frequency sawtooth wave signal Hsaw. A means U1 with which a right and left correction signal WFM is connected generates a switching signal Vg having a first polarity for inhibiting the conduction of the switch Q2 and a second polarity allowing the conduction of the switch Q2 in response to the signal Hsaw and the signal Vg. The first polarity of the signal Vg starts within the first half of a retracing period and the second polarity starts within the residual time in a horizontal period.
