PURPOSE: To provide a suitable method for performing lithographic printing by using both a plate manufactured by a silver salt diffusion transfer method and a damping liquid. CONSTITUTION: In the method for performing lithographic printing with following processes: a lithographic printing plate is manufactured by a silver salt diffusion transfer method from an image forming material containing an image receiving layer incorporated with a silver halide emulsion layer and a physical development nucleus on a substrate and the printing is performed while the damping liquid and a printing ink are fed to the lithographic printing plate, (a) an exposed image forming material is processed under presence of a mesoionic compound, and (b) the damping liquid contains <1g/l transparent pigment having <0.1μm average particle size. |
