PURPOSE:To provide an image forming material by which a simple proof with a feeling and a quality level similar to those of a true proof, and high-grade color outputs of relatively low cost, can easily be manufactured from digital data such as image data. CONSTITUTION:An image forming material comprises a stack of a photosensitive layer which contains a photopolymeric compound and a polymerization initiator having photosensitivity to near infrared radiation and a colored layer containing a dye or pigment and an organic polymer binder with no photopolymerization property. A good, simple proof can easily be formed on printing paper without the need for an intermediate image receiver or specially processed image- receiving paper.
