PURPOSE:To provide a document processing device which can deal with a calculation expression related to cells in a tabulation editing mode and can easily process this calculation expression by setting the pairs of numbers of vertical and horizontal. ruled lines passing an apex as the cell addresses. CONSTITUTION:The horizontal ruled line display numbers O... are successively given to the horizontal ruled lines 256-264 in order of smaller value of (y) coordinates. In the same way, the vertical ruled line display numbers O... are given to the vertical ruled lines 265-270 in order of smaller value of (x) coordinates respectively. A CPU takes a pointer to the upper left vertical ruled line out of the information on the corresponding cell and acquires the display number of this ruled line. Meanwhile the CPU takes out a pointer to the upper left horizontal ruled line and acquires the display number of this ruled line. The pairs of display numbers of those acquired vertical and horizontal ruled lines are defineds as the addresses of the corresponding cell. For instance, a cell 1 has a vertical ruled line 265 and a horizontal ruled line 256 passing the left upper apex respectively and therefore a pair of vertical and horizontal, ruled line display numbers is defined as (O, O) and also defined as the address of the cell 1. |
