PURPOSE:To provide a light source cover by which the color is not seen from the outside when a light source is put off and a metallic-mirror-like view is obtained while the color of the cover or the light source is seen when the light source is put on. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a cover 2 put on the outside of a light source 1, a metal plating layer 3 by which light is transmitted to the outside of a cover when a light source 1 is put on while no light passes through the cover 2 when the light is put off, is provided on the surface of the cover 2. The cover 2 is made of a transparent or colored material. With only such a cover, different colors or conditions are given at the time of ON/OFF operation of the light source l, and thereby a new color different from a conventional one is rendered. When the color of metal plating layer 3 is met for the color around it while harmonization with the circumstances is obtained when the source 1 is put off to keep attention to a user. |
