PURPOSE: To reduce a current swing width and to suppress the generation of current ripples by controlling an on-time according to the charge time of a capacitor. CONSTITUTION: A circuit consists of an off-time control part 80 that compares a voltage signal containing a current corresponding to the output voltage of a booster converter and a current corresponding to a current signal that passes through a control switch and generates the off signal of the control switch, an on-time control part 60 that generates the on signal of the control switch by the charge time of a capacitor from a point, when the off signal at the off-time control part is generated, and a drive signal generation part 90 that inputs off and on signals, latches them, and generates a drive signal for driving the control switch. Then, by determining the on-time of the control switch by the charge time of the capacitor, a power factor can be corrected in a continuous current system, as compared with a conventional zero-current system for suppressing ripples and applicable to a large power. |
