PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive rotor position detector which can be used even for a high r.p.m. motor without employing any CPU. CONSTITUTION:The rotor 2 of a motor carries a rotary encoder 3 generating 2n pulses per single revolution of the rotor. Pulses from the rotary encoder 3 is fed to a binary n-digit digital counter 4 and the counter therefrom is fed, along with a binary n-digit offset value from a digital offset setting circuit 5, to a binary n-digit digital adder 6. A binary n-digit digital output from the digital adder 6 is employed as a positional information signal of rotor. |
