PURPOSE:To shorten the time taken until stopping vibration-proofing, to save power and to prevent a photographer from feeling that an image plane is shaken at the time of stopping the vibration-proofing. CONSTITUTION:This camera is provided with vibration-proofing control means 118, 121, 122 and 129 controlling so that the vibration-proofing may be continued even after inputting a signal stopping vibration-proofing actuation by a vibration-proof system and the vibration-proofing may be stopped when the correction lens of a correcting optical means 16 gets in a fixed driving range which is varied according to the focal distance of a photographing lens or in a fixed time; and the vibration-proofing is continued even after inputting the vibration-proofing stop signal and the vibration-proofing is stopped when the correcting optical means gets in the fixed driving range or in the fixed time in the midst of vibration-proofing, then a period when only the correcting optical means 16 is driven after stopping the vibration-proofing is eliminated. |
